Forest Hydrology GIS Watershed Delineation Exercise


This is tutorial taken from University of Virginia.   The objective is to create watershed boundaries from digital datasets and analyze stream networks and land cover characteristics within those boundaries

The exercise consists of 12 steps watershed delineation. There are:

  4. Create Flow Direction
  5. Create Flow Accumulation
  6. Create Watershed Pour Points
  7. Delineate Watersheds
  8. Analyze Watershed Stream Network
  9. Analyze Watershed Elevation Data
  10. Analyze Watershed Land Cover
  11. Export your map
  12. Backup your work
