Quantum GIS (QGIS) Tutorial from Harvard University

Lex Berman of the Center for Geographic Analysis (CGA) at Harvard University have created a site that includes online tutorials Quantum GIS (QGIS) is interactive for beginners. 


The tutorial contains basic guidance operates an open source GIS QGIS with topics including: 
  • Installation (Windows / Mac OS X / Linux )
  • Navigation (GUI, Toolbars, Pan/Zoom, Layer, Query)
  • Data Loading (import XYZ, KML, Scanned Map)
  • Projections
  • Editing (New/Existing Vector Layer)
  • Joining (Tabular/Spatial Join)
  • Symbolization
  • Exporting (Map Print, Export to other GIS formats)
