Arc2Earth: A Legal Service to Display Google Earth in ArcMap

Arc2Earth is a new service that can display data from Google Earth satellite in the ArcMap canvas. Currently, this service is the only legal method to display the Google Earth data in ArcGIS, because Arc2Earth is an OEM partner of Google for the Google Mapping API output.

You can get Arc2Earth software for free by downloading the version of Community Edition. To get it you must first register at the following link. This free version has some limitations such as the ability of the KML export / import only 250 features. Every map from Google Earth that appear in ArcMap will also be given a watermark. For Data Services, no free version available. To be able to use this service you have to pay $ 450.
